Love
Love is gentle;
Love is kind.
It takes mean things
Off your mind.
It’s good for everyone
To love, you see
Or I would not even
Believe in me.
Love is confident;
It never lets you down.
So keep on striving;
Your time will come around.
Love is dependable;
It sometimes hurt.
But one day you will look back
And say it was worth it.
If you feel
You have no love,
Check God out.
He’ll give it to you, no doubt.

The Love Of Christ
The love of Christ constraineth us
To be patient, kind and true.
We demonstrate the love we have
By what we say and do.
Not easily provoked, love is
A gift that will endure.
It transcends every barrier.
Love is gentle, peaceful, pure.
Alpha And Omega
Do you know
that the Alpha and Omega
spans the chasm of sin
with the bridge of His love?
Now all are invited
to look to Him.
Trusting God
I am trusting in You, LORD
And the gift of Your love.
The promises that You have made
Are settled up above.
They are written forever;
And they bear Your name.
Through tomorrow and yesterday
They are the same.
When I put my trust in You, Lord
You provide all that I need,
For Your promises are certain;
All I need is faith like a mustard seed.
Something To Shout About
A Testimony
Every time I think about Jesus
I just want to shout!
One Saturday evening when I was watching Gaither Homecoming, a favourite program on the Inspirational Network, I felt a chilly breeze. Immediately, I rushed to get my sweater from the hook behind the bathroom door. I turned on the light and was greeted by a 6-9 inch golden centipede that was slithering up the face bowl. Although I smashed its head, it reversed down the drain. I closed the drain.
When I returned to the living room, I was thankful. I sat in my favourite chair to meditate. God had allowed me to enter the bathroom at the precise time!
I thank Him for the gift of love,
And all the blessings from above.
As I pondered the situation I had encountered, I realized that God loved me. He had protected me from the enemy! Except for the chill, I would have had no reason to enter the bathroom at that time. Abiding under the canopy of the Almighty God is indeed a blessing. How I thank God for His protection!
Every time I think of Jesus
I just want to shout!
About fifteen minutes after the encounter with the centipede, there was a power failure. In the neighbourhood where I live, most power failures are initiated by the greed and commerce of some neighbours. These periods provide fifteen to thirty minutes of praise
me.
During this power outage, I was home alone. There were no matches at hand; and the flashlight needed new batteries! In the darkness, Jesus gave me an assurance of love in song.
Jesus is a Friend I know;
And I take Him where I go.
Hallelujah! Jesus is a Friend of mine.
An original song, it is repetitious and demands proper breathing in order to reach the high notes. God used that time to drill me with a message, for He had provided an opportunity for me to speak to His children. What God was saying to me was clear:
Whether it is in darkness
Or in light,
Walk by faith
And not by sight.
Yes, every time I think about Jesus, I can shout: Hallelujah! Jesus is my Friend!
