Where The Music of Poetry Exalts The Son

Practical Prince

The entrance of the Prince of Peace was heralded to the people of God. Born in the fullness of time, both Judean shepherds and Wise Men were told about the purpose of God among men. No ordinary eastern star, the star that  appeared at Jesus’ birth   guided the honest seekers to Him (Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 2:1,2). Angels announced glad tidings in praise: peace on earth and goodwill to all men (Luke 2:8– 15).    Immediately, the shepherds left all to visit the Good Shepherd, who would lay down  His  life for His sheep. These shepherds spread the gospel (vs. 17– 18). They were so thankful.

 Thank  God For Jesus

Love hung upon that cruel tree.
What thanks have I to give
The Son of Man who had no guile
But died that I might live?

Faith hung upon that cruel cross.
My faith looks up to thee;
For when I look and I believe
You draw me Lord to thee.

Grace hung upon the cross of shame;
 For grace with thee is found-
A grace that knows no measure.
Thank God Your grace is sound.

Peace hung upon that rugged tree.
Thank God, You are the Prince of Peace ;
And through this peace I have confidence
Your love will never cease.

Peace is a priceless pearl. No one can give peace as it surpasses human understanding; and nobody can take it away (Philippians 4:7). Peace results from the abiding presence of Love. God is love; and those who are love-abiding are a residence for God ( 1 John 4: 16).

In His Presence

In order to abide in love, to benefit from  His  presence, it is vital to focus one’s mind on God. Beholding Jesus is joy. Rejoice in the Lord! God wants His people to manifest joy. He says to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in the heart to the Lord (Philippians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:16; Ephesians 5:19-20).  Praise is what God loves for He inhabits them. High Priest Jesus invites all to come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Spend some time talking with God alone. Allow Him to commune with you. A love relationship is built on communication and time together.

 Ceaseless Praise

Lamb of God foreordained
Before the foundation
Of the world was framed
I bow low before You.
I worship and adore You.
My heart exults; with joy
Holy anthems I raise.
Let my lips be filled with ceaseless praise.
Let my life , O Lord
Flow with Your praise.

Ancient of Days, Holy Spirit Guide,
Wonderful  Counselor; in You I confide.
Majesty, To You all nature sings;
Omnipotent, Messiah, King of Kings
My heart exults; with joy
Holy anthems I raise,
Let my lips be filled with ceaseless praise.
Let my life, O Lord, flow with Your praise.

Prodigal Principles

David, in Psalms 84:10 declares that he prefers to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.  King David knew about a Prodigal God and His love.  Prophet Nathan visited David and Psalms 51 emerged from that experience.  The Psalmist David plea bargained with God:  allow Your Holy Spirit to remain.  David did not want the joy of the Lord to depart from him.

Besides wanting to be purged and washed, David promised to be an evangelist!  He said that he would teach men to love and serve the  true and Living God (Psalms 51:13)!  Repentant David was like the characters in the storyJesus told in Luke 15: 3 - 32.  The love of God is vast and deep.   It reaches to the uttermost.

The wandering  sheep is sought and with rejoicing, it is brought home on the shoulder. Every coin is precious; and the law of love can be satisfied only when the missing coin is found and the piece of jewelry is restored.  As for the son who took his inheritance and squandered it on pleasure, there is pardon, grace and an abundance of love waiting for all who confess their faults ( 1 John 1: 9). Love is patient and kind; and all of heaven rejoices when a sinner repents and returns home to God. The love of God is extravagant and compassionate for He loved mankind first while he was still a sinner. Every morning, God renews His love (Luke 15:7;
1 Corinthians 13; Lamentations 3:22,23).

Prodigal Love

God, Your love
Is prodigal…
Extravagant
And free.
It reaches
Beyond ocean depths.
Your love embraces me.

God, Your love
Is so intense
It fills my heart
With fire.
To serve You
And grow closer
To You
Consumes my desires.
An Impassioned Plea
