Where The Music of Poetry Exalts The Son

An Impassioned Plea

Richard’s turtles are history. They never returned home. Months later, the shell of one   turtle was found a great distance  from  the   paradise that had been its home .  Like the turtles, man is far from his eternal home.   Some people never return home; and they die in their sins.  Eternal death is a direct contrast to the will of God. Jesus, God’s gift to man, came to earth and died a shameful death because God loved the world so much. Only through love could there be reparation and redemption. Love alone could build a bridge  of love that spans  the chasm of sin. The Mediator between God and man  shed  His blood and provided the ultimate, perfect sacrifice (Galatians 3:20).

Throughout each day, the Lamb of God seeks His own.   Like the prodigal son, it is important to come to one’s senses.  However, an individual must desire to enjoy the blessings that abound in the Father’s house.  After all, no one comes to Jesus unless the Father draws him (John 6:44).  Jesus desires for all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4; (John 17:3).  Everyone has been engraved on Jesus’ palm (Isaiah 49:16).  His ears are open to the cry and

anguish of every heart (Psalms 34:15).  All are invited to come and reason with Him (Isaiah 1:18). The love of God, which reaches to the uttermost, provided Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice (John 3:16).  A faithful, compassionate God issues an impassioned plea daily.

             Come Back Home

“Come back to me”;

Hear the Lord God beseech you.

“Where can you run

That my hands cannot reach you?”

Gently He knocks at the door of the heart.

Open it now; do not let Him depart.

No sin is too wicked to keep Him away.

Open your heart and invite Him to stay.

Confess all your sins, come feast on His love;

And fasten your affections on His new life from above.

At Any Cost

Jesus knows that individuals are unique.  In the story of the Good  Samaritan, Jesus  revealed that anyone who exemplifies true love will minister to those who are wounded, naked, dying for tenderness and need healing. The price has been paid for their recovery, robe and life.  Victims of the arch deceiver, whose purpose is to kill, steal and destroy, are to benefit from the love   of all who have been anointed by God (Isaiah 61: 1-3).

In another story, Jesus revealed that  at a  certain  feast, the invited guests were absent. There was an abundance of food .  The       command was given to go everywhere… into the highways, the byways, hedges… and   compel the people to come in to the banquet (Luke 14: 23).

Some people have a ‘compelling’ smile.  All who have   been with Jesus can radiate His ‘compelling’ love. In the beginning, there was Love; and when   the  temporal things of this world pass away, Love will remain  as a  faithful testimony.  Nothing is greater than Love!
